Calculate my savingsNo sign-up · Non-binding estimate
Example with 4 × 460 Wp solar panels (1.84 kWp), a storage reference of 4.8 kWh usable capacity, 800 W output power and 2,700 kWh annual consumption. Assumptions: south-facing, 30° tilt, Frankfurt am Main location and an electricity price of €0.41/kWh.
The hourly reference model gives around 1,643 kWh of self-consumed solar electricity per year: 1,643 kWh × €0.41/kWh ≈ €675, rounded to €5. Basis: PVGIS 5.3, weather years 2021–2023, 14% system losses and a dynamic H0 household profile. Further model assumptions: 2.4 kW charging limit, 90% storage round-trip efficiency, initially empty storage, no grid charging and no additional storage standby consumption. The full model limitations are listed below the calculator. These assumptions are not product specifications and do not describe the configuration pictured.
Estimated avoided electricity purchase costs, not profit after purchase and operating costs. No guaranteed savings and no immediate discount. Weather, shading, usage patterns, system configuration and electricity tariff affect the result.
The calculator could not be loaded. You can still use the storage finder to narrow down a suitable solution.

You are looking for storage with solar panels for a new system.
Choose between 2 and 24 panels. The calculation uses 460 Wp per panel.
Use the annual consumption from your latest electricity bill. Adjust it in 100 kWh steps with − and +.
We start at 2,400 W. Change the output to update the calculation and recommendation. More power alone does not automatically mean greater savings.
The calculation accounts for the selected output power. Whether more power helps also depends on electricity consumption at the same time.
4,800 W and 7,200 W are total output powers from two or three suitable 2,400 W main units respectively. Connection, phases, protection design, grid connection and approval require technical confirmation.

Matched to your selection
Net savings are added up over the years until they cover the investment. The point within the year is estimated proportionally and rounded up to one tenth of a year. This is based on a reviewed, less favourable scenario for this configuration, not the general annual savings shown above. The actual period may differ and is not guaranteed.
SunEnergyXT 500 series
For this selection, the system design and components should be checked before ordering.
The estimated annual savings are based on your inputs and a storage reference, not on an individual calculation for the recommended package. They cannot be used to derive a reliable payback period for that package.
Such a calculation must account for the specific system, your consumption and the total costs. Accessories, mounting, electrical work, maintenance or financing may add to the product price. The model calculation is not a yield or savings guarantee.
A specific payback period appears only when a separate, reviewed calculation with complete costs is available for the selected configuration and the estimate remains below three years. When adding storage, only the additional savings compared with the same PV system without the new storage count. The relevant assumptions are shown alongside the period. An absent payback period does not mean a system is not worthwhile.
PVGIS 5.3, reference location Frankfurt am Main, average of weather years 2021–2023, 14% system losses and your selected orientation and tilt.
Annual consumption from 1,000 to 10,000 kWh, adjustable in 100 kWh steps. For each selectable value, the dynamic H0 household profile is scaled to that annual consumption and the hourly energy balance is calculated separately. Values are not rounded to one of the previous consumption groups. The reference profile does not replace an analysis of your actual load profiles.
Reference of 41 euro cents/kWh. Based on the rounded Destatis average of German household electricity prices for 2023–2025. You can adjust your actual tariff in the calculation details.
Annual savings are calculated as self-consumed solar electricity × electricity price, rounded to €5. Small differences may therefore lead to the same euro amount.
For each panel count from 2 to 24, hourly PVGIS values are matched against a dynamic H0 household profile via demandlib. Solar electricity is used directly first, surplus charges the storage, and stored energy is used when needed. Direct use and storage discharge share the selected output power. Solar yield before this limit remains unchanged for the same panel count.
Model assumptions, not product specifications: 2 / 4.8 / 9.6 kWh usable storage reference for 2 / 4 / 6 or more panels, a 2.4 kW charging limit, 90% round-trip efficiency and initially empty storage. No grid charging, no payment for surplus electricity and no additional storage standby consumption. The 14% PVGIS system losses are not deducted again as a flat rate. The calculation uses fixed CET without daylight-saving or regional public-holiday adjustments and averages the years 2021–2023. Short load peaks, specific device limits, shading and the actual installation are not represented. The reference does not replace product-specific planning.
The values are a non-binding model calculation, not a yield or savings guarantee. Actual yield depends on factors including location, weather, shading, mounting, system losses and your consumption patterns. The product selection does not replace a technical assessment.

Solar panels generate electricity for your home. The battery stores surplus energy and supplies it later.
Yes, for a conventional balcony solar system. If you already have panels, DRBO Greenenergy can check whether the storage unit, inverter and wiring are compatible.
In many cases, yes. The key factors are panel capacity, inverter, connections and the storage capacity you need.
This depends on the system and inverter. DRBO Greenenergy can check whether your configuration supports the required charging function.
Your electricity consumption, available space, panel orientation and goals all matter. We can help you choose a suitable set.
